Sylhet is full of old two-storey structures. Realigning this typology, new shops, cafes and restaurants can be built along the river showing a better relationship. Warehouse of the old railway, rail station, rail line and its intermediate open spaces can be combined and turned into a children’s park and convention area. A hybrid pavilion with a super roof is imagined that may contain public spaces, galleries and a convention centre.
