The 600 acre planned area has lost its viability as an industrial area, and now located in the center of Dhaka has the potential for triggering the biggest catalytic transformation of the city. Anticipating Dhaka’s accelerated growth and requirement for new offices, commercial and institutional facilities, combining the existing and the new, the new city at Tejgaon can be a model of urbanism.
