Mongla can be an ideal tourist destination considering the combined conditions of the Sundarbans, a port and an economic zone. Surrounded by natural diversity, Mongla has the extensive Sundarban and mangrove forest on one side and rivers and seas on the other. Canals and many water bodies in the town can be linked to form public parks, water reservoir system and an ecological spine.
